Picturelab came to life in 2009 as the creative side of Transvideo Studios, the largest production company in Silicon Valley. It experienced immediate success with design and animation-focused explainer videos, then evolved into an agency alternative, becoming a one-stop-shop for storytelling, design, motion graphics, and live-action video. In 2010 Picturelab created the Mint overview video that has been widely touted as one of the best explainer videos and spawned many imitators.
